Fire in South Seaside Park; 'Looked Real Familiar,' One Resident Said

Some local residents who saw the blaze thought back to last year's fire that damaged much of the Seaside Heights and Seaside Park boardwalk.

A house under renovation in South Seaside Park was damaged by fire Friday that left nobody injured, according to authorities.

Fire officials said there was "pretty heavy fire" coming from the second floor when firefighters arrived. Officials said the fire looked "terribly bad" from the outside, but firefighters controlled it in about 20 minutes, according to the APP.

The cause is accidental and the house was vacant, officials said.
