Manahawkin Man Killed In Parkway Accident in Wall

Death in overturned car that veered off parkway

A 24-year-old Manahawkin man died in a car that veered off the Garden State Parkway in Wall on Saturday morning, according to state police. 

At about 10:30 a.m., a black car went off the parkway and overturned in the woods near milepost 96.5, said Sgt. Adam Grossman.

Michael Gilluly, the deceased ,was alone in the vehicle, Grossman said at about 3:10 p.m. The incident is still under investigation and all lanes of traffic had been reopened.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident, he said.

An advisory on 511nj.org states: "As of 1:04pm, there are delays on the Garden State Parkway southbound from North of I-195 to South of Exit 98 - NJ 138 in Wall Twp 3 mile delay, due to accident at milepost 96.4 south."
