David Vignevic was killed when his car struck a telephone pole in Manchester Township

A Central Regional Middle School history teacher was pronounced dead at the scene after his Honda Accord struck a utility pole and overturned in Manchester Township on Friday night.

David Vignevic, 34, was traveling west on Route 571 at 4:24 a.m., when the car left the roadway, struck a utility pole, overturned and hit a tree near Quarry Road, Manchester Township Police Capt. Lisa Parker said.

"He was hired in 2006 and was a bright young teacher with a promising future," Central Regional Schools Superintendent Triantafillos Parlapanides said. "My thoughts and prayers go out to his family."
