No Bomb Found In Sweep Of Nursing Facility In Holiday City At Berkeley

All patients have been returned to Holiday Care Center on Plaza Drive, police say

 

No bombs were found in the Holiday Care Center in Holiday City, after the building was swept by K-9 bomb sniffing dogs from a number of area police departments, Detective Sgt. James J. Smith said.

"Various townships and counties came to assist," he said. "They did a sweep of the building with negative results. Everybody was able to return to the building."

A worker at the facility found a note this afternoon in an employee restroom in the building at 4 Plaza Drive, he said.

"It simply said, 'There's a bomb in the building,' " Smith said.

Police are continuing an investigation into the incident, he said.
