Berkeley Police Charge Forked River Man With Drunk Driving

by Patricia A. Miller

Police recently arrested a Forked River man and charged him with driving under the influence and other motor vehicle offenses, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Sgt. Joseph Robertazzi arrested Daniel Dabal Jr., at 12:15 a.m. on March 18 on Route 9 near the Beachwood Shopping Center, the chief said.

Robertazzi determined that Dabal was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. He was taken to police headquarters. He was processed and also charged with following too closely, failure to maintain lane and driving without insurance, DiMichele said.

His car was impounded as per John's Law, the chief said.
