Berkeley Police Arrest Three Beachwood Residents on Marijuana Charges

Arrests took place on First Avenue in Manitou Park

Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele is urging residents to report any suspicious activity, after the arrest of three Beachwood residents for possession of marijuana in the Manitou Park section of the Township.

Patrolman Brian Bargas was on duty at 2:15 a.m. on July 11 when he found a suspicious vehicle on First Avenue. Further
investigation revealed that the three occupants of this vehicle were in
possession of a quantity of marijuana, the chief said.

Assisting in this investigation were Patrolman David Moody, Patrolman Robert Ashton, the Ocean County Prosecutors Office Special Operations Group,
and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 team assisted, the chief said.
