A 34-year-old Berkeley man was charged this past week in connection with several home burglaries in Holiday City Berkeley Township, police said.

On Tuesday, Robert Muchanic of Cabrillo Drive was arrested after the victims reported numerous items - including money and jewelry - were stolen from their homes, police said.

These burglaries occurred over the course of several months exclusively in the senior community.

As a result of this investigation Berkeley Detectives Scott Stoker and Joseph Santoro charged Muchanic with four counts of burglary. In addition, Muchanic was also charged with being a certain person not to possess firearms in connection with these burglaries.

Muchanic was lodged in the Ocean County Jail with bail set by Judge James Gluck at $75,000 full.  More charges are pending as this investigation continues.

He should also be charged by the association with living illegally in a 55+ community... and sentenced to cleaning up after all bingo games!

another underage bum that has slithered in and is living with a senior...some drug head that needs to support his heroin habit. It is getting infested here. I have seen gang tags on light poles and it is becoming more and more disturbing. Keep finding these creeps and get them out of here and in jail where they belong.
