Berkeley Man Accused of Threatening Toms River Resident With Death
Grand juries hand up indictments
A township man is being held in the Ocean County Jail after police said he threatened a Toms River man with a knife.
Joseph Earley, 51, of New Castle Court was indicted last week by an Ocean County grand jury on aggravated assault, terroristic threat and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose charges.

Earley was arrested Nov. 13 and accused of using a knife to attempt to cause "bodily injury" to the Toms River man, who he also threatened to kill, the indictment states.
He is being held on $20,000 bail, no 10 percent option.

Grand juries also indicted:
- Shannon J. Bane, 26, of Ocean Gate on terroristic threat charges.
Bane was arrested Sept. 3 in the borough and accused of threatening to kill two separate Ocean Gate residents.
Bane posted $15,000 bail Sept. 7.
- Timothy M. Downing, 34, of Forked River on a drug charge.
Downing was arrested Sept. 9 in Berkeley and accused of possessing cocaine. He was released on a summons.
- Talmadge Foster, 43, of Bayville on a shoplifting charge.
Foster was arrested Jan. 10 at Kohl's in Toms River and accused of stealing a vacuum worth more than $500.
Foster was released on a summons.
- Judith A. Robertozzi, 47, of Lanoka Harbor on charges of attempting to obtain drugs by fraud.
Robertozzi was arrested Aug. 17 in Berkeley and accused of passing a phony prescription for oxycodone at ShopRite. Police said she also had oxycodone in her possession when arrested.
Robertozzi was charged with attempting to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by fraud, uttering a forged instrument and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
She was released on a summons.
- Kyle J. Skora, 32, of Bayville on a driving while suspended charge.
Skora was arrested Aug. 22 in Lacey and accused of driving while suspended after his second drunken driving conviction.
He was released on a summons.
- Elisha A. Hawk, 28, of Bayville on shoplifting and drug charges.
Hawk was arrested Nov. 8 in Brick and accused of stealing more than $500 in DVDs from Target while in possession of zolpidem.
She was released on a summons.
