Berkeley Man, 61, Arrested For Four Outstanding Warrants, Two From Newark

A 61-year-old Berkeley man was arrested this past week for having four outstanding warrants, two from Newark.

On Tuesday, Ptl. Jonathan Mulvihill stopped a suspicious male in the area of Jamaica Blvd.  Further investigation revealed the male, identified as Joseph Tarantino, 61, of Berkeley, had outstanding warrants from Berkeley (2) and Newark (2). 

As a result, Tarantino was arrested and transported to police H.Q. where he was released with a new court date, police said.
