Berkeley Driver Busted For Heroin After Traffic Stop

A Berkeley man was busted for heroin possession after a recent traffic stop, police said.

According to police:

On January 15 at 9:10 a.m., Ptl. Michael Tanis conducted a motor vehicle stop on Bananier Drive.  The driver, Christopher Corradino 32 of Berkeley, was cited for speeding.

A short time later it was learned that Corradino had an outstanding warrant from Ocean County for receiving stolen property.  It was at this time that Ptl. Michael Tanis, Ptl. Scott Rudolph and Ptl. Michael Ptaszenski responded to his residence on Marquis St in Berkeley Township, to serve the warrant.

Corradino was taken into custody without incident. Corradino was found to have in his possession multiple folds of heroin and hypodermic syringes.  Corradino was charged with possession of heroin and possession of the hypodermic syringes.  Corradino was transported to the Ocean County Jail in default of $10,000 bail.
