Beachwood Man Allegedly Drives Onto Berkeley Lawn, Crashes Into Tree

A 23-year-old Beachwood man faces charges in Berkeley for allegedly driving a vehicle onto a front lawn and crashing into a tree, police said.

According to police:

On Feb. 14. at 9 a.m., Ptl. William Somers, Ptl. Michael Connel and Ptl. John Houghkirk responded to Grand Central Parkway for a report of a hit and run in which a vehicle drove on to the lawn of a residence and crashed into a tree.  The vehicle then left the scene.

A short time later the Beachwood Police Department advised that they had a vehicle stopped which had damage consistent with this crash.  As a result the driver, Ryan Gouse, 23, of Beachwood was charged with careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident.
