Berkeley police recently arrested a Bayville woman at the ShopRite on Route 9 and charged her with two counts of shoplifing and one count of theft by deception, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.
Patrolman Warrant Black responded to the store at 6:15 p.m. on March 15 on a report of a shoplifter. Store loss prevention employees told Black they saw a female, identified as Barbara Manning, 62, Bayville, taking items from the store without paying, the chief said.
