A Bayville man is facing a myriad of charges after he struck a utility pole near Frederick Drive recently, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.
Patrolmen Michael O'Connor and Jason Malley had responded to a report of a hit and run involving a parked car near Frederick Drive at 5:49 p.m on Nov. 16, the chief said.
Shortly after, a car driven by Ryan Carson, 34, struck a utility pole in the same area, DiMichele said.
Police charged Carson with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, driving while on the suspended list, driving with a suspended registration, driving without insurance, reckless driving and several other motor vehicle violations, the chief said.
He was transported to police headquarters on Pinewald-Keswick Road, where he was processed and later released, DiMichele said.
