Bayville Man Arrested On Drunk Driving Charges

Berkeley Township police recently charged a Bayville man with driving while under the influence after they responded to a report of an intoxicated driver, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolman Michael Tier arrested Austin Kaiser, 34, at 4:37 p.m. on Nov. 26 in the area of 141 Route 9, the chief said.

Tier spoke to Kaiser and later determined he was also under the influence of an opiate. He was also charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, reckless driving and improper parking, DiMichele said.

The Manchester Township Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) program
