Township police responded to a Lenape Trail home at 10:30 p.m. Sunday and encountered a resident who said he was robbed at gunpoint after a "failed drug purchase," Brick police Capt. John Rein said.

The resident said a gunman, who police said was Delmonico, fled with $8 and a pack of cigarettes after demanding money.

Delmonico allegedly got into a Dodge Neon driven by Langworth and drove to a Cedarbrook Drive, Toms River residence, where Toms River police found the car. Langworth was found and arrested on South Shore Drive by Toms River police, and Delmonico was arrested by Brick and Seaside Park police at the home of a relative in Seaside Park, Rein said.

Additionally, police recovered a bag allegedly thrown by the pair on South Shore Drive that contained a silver handgun matching the description of the gun used in the robbery, and a rifle, Rein said.

Bail was set by Superior Court Judge Stephanie Waters at $350,000 with no 10 percent option for both men.

Brick Detective Robert Shepherd is investigating the robbery. Anyone with information may contact him at 732-262-1120.
