Margaret D. Givens Of Berkeley Township Dies At 71

Margaret D. Givens (nee Dugan), 71, of the Holiday City Heights section of Berkeley Township, passed away at home on Wednesday July 16, 2014.

She was a lifelong resident of Bayonne before moving to Berkeley Township seven years ago. She was an assistant manager in the checking department for Pamrapo Savings Bank in Bayonne for many years, retiring in 2007. She was a former communicant of St. Andrews R.C. Church, Bayonne and currently a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Mary (McGinley) Dugan, four brothers, Charles, Dennis, Cormick, and Patrick Dugan and her sister Mary (Dugan) LoPrest.

She is survived by her husband Michael; two daughters, Kathleen and Gregory Contaldi of Fairfield, Kelly and Arthur Tambaro of Fair Haven; five grandchildren, Gregory and Brian Contaldi, Julia, Grace, and Arthur Tambaro; four brothers, Daniel Dugan of Cliffwood Beach, Terry and Janet Dugan of Toms River, John Dugan of Brick, and Joseph Dugan of Beachwood; three sisters, Sheila Christie, RoseAnn Dwyer and Kathleen Sheppard, all of Berkeley Township; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen (Givens) Calcaterra of Manahawkin and Stephanie Dugan of Forked River. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday July 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 21 at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church at 11:30 a.m.
