Joyce DeGroot, 69, of the Holiday City Carefree section of Berkeley Township, passed away Sunday May 25, 2014 at home.
Born in Franklin, New Jersey, she lived in Riverdale, New Jersey and Beachwood, before moving to Berkeley Township in 2000.
Joyce was a home health aide for Visiting Home Services in Toms River.
She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 2005 and her daughter Cynthia Desmond in 2010.
Joyce in survived by her niece Beverly Colfax of Bloomingdale, NJ, a great- nephew Lee Colfax, a son-in-law Robert Desmond of Toms River, a great-niece Rachelle “Shelly” Shipps of West Milford, NJ and a nephew James Sanders of Virginia.
Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, is in charge of the arrangements.
