Florence Dante, Bayville, Passes Peacefully at 79

Florence R. Dante, (nee: Francis), 79, of Union, NJ and Berkeley Township Section of Bayville, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2014.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 9:45am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Theresa R. C. Church in Kenilworth at 11am. Entombment will be at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Thursday.
Born in Taylor, PA, Florence moved to Newark, NJ over 60 years ago, before settling to raise her family in Union, NJ, 55 years ago and then acquiring a second residence in Bayville, NJ, in 1986.

She was a medical assistant for Dr. Stuart Baron in Newark for many years, then left to take care of her husband and children. Florence loved to spend every weekend and her summers with her family and friends at the shore.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Florence was a parishioner of St. Theresa R. C. Church in Kenilworth and St. Barnabas R. C. Church in Bayville.
She was member of the 60+ club of Union, CCD Volunteer for many years and a CCD teacher at Holy Spirit Church in Union, bowling league of Union, CYO volunteer at Holy Spirit in Union, member and founder of the Home School Association at Holy Spirit School in Union, and the Berkeley Township Home Owner’s Association in Bayville.

She is predeceased by her cherished granddaughter Danielle Marie Dante.
Florence is survived by her husband of 59 years Joseph G. Dante, four loving children Joseph A. Dante and his wife Linda, David J. Dante and his wife Maria, John M. Dante, and Marigrace Mastapeter and her husband Arthur, nine adored grandchildren Joseph, Daniel, David, Regina, George, Jessica, Samantha, Marissa, and John, dear sister of Jack and Michael Francis and his wife Sandy, Norma Juzwiak, AnnaMae Orzolek, and Martha Beischer. She had a special relationship with Rich, Becky, Adrienne, Kate, Mollee, James, Josephine, and Julia. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Florence always touched the hearts of all who knew her and will never be forgotten.
