Barbara B. Nitko Of Berkeley Township Dies At 71

Barbara B. Nitko (nee Stepniak), 71, of Berkeley Township died on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Community Medical Center in Toms River.

She was born in Perth Amboy, and lived in South Plainfield, before moving to Berkeley Township five  years ago. Barbara received her degree in Nursing from Perth Amboy General Hospital. She was a registered nurse and worked for Dr. William Goldberg in Metuchen, and Dr. M. Sarraf in South Plainfield for many years. She was a Parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield.

She is survived by her husband Raymond, one son Robert of Oxford, NJ, two daughters Deborah Yaskulka and Lisa Walter both of Long Valley, NJ, one brother Frank Stepniak of Cape May, NJ, one sister Stephanie Zehnder of Safety Harbor, Fl and also seven loving grandchildren; Travis, Christian, Ashley, Benjamin, Noah, Raymond and Daniel.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday June 4, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Thursday June 5, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Township, NJ. Burial will follow to New Jersey Veteran Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
