J. Laurie, 69, formerly of Bayville and Whiting, passed away Tuesday,
April 8, 2014.
Alfred worked as a truck driver for many years with the
Teamsters Union, Local 560. He was always active in local politics, had a
love for singing and enjoyed cooking.
Born in Jersey City, he lived in
Bayville and Whiting where he was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann
Seton Church. He then moved to Vero Beach, FL., moving to Manalapan last
Alfred was predeceased by his wife Marilyn and a son,
Vincent W. Laurie, both in 2013. Surviving are his daughter, Lisa
Kazmierski of Manalapan; two sons, Alfred Laurie of Toms River, Joseph
Laurie of Mesa, AZ; brother, Vincent Laurie of Secaucus; five
grandchildren, Andrew, Kaitlin, Michael, Nicholas and Mia.
will be held Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.to 9 p.m. at Kedz Funeral Home,
1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Joseph R.C. Catholic Church, Hooper Ave.,
