Author Of 'Surviving Sandy' To Speak At LBI Library Wednesday Night

Author Scott Mazzella will present his book, Surviving Sandy, Long Beach Island and the Greatest Storm of the Jersey Shore at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, at the Long Beach Island branch of the Ocean County Library in Surf City.

Mazzella will use a Powerpoint presentation to discuss his conception for the book, gathering the stories from survivors of the storm and describing stories associated with the collection of photographs.

There is a meteorological component to the talk as well as descriptions of what was happening in our area before, during, and after the storm. Scott will read a few selections from the book. Signed copies of his book will be for sale. Sponsored by the Friends of the Island Library.

Registration is required. Please register online at www.theoceancountylibrary.org or call 609-494-2480. Photos from the book will be on display at the library through June.
