Calling All Cats Rescue Group 'Beyond Full,' Needs Help

by Patricia A. Miller

Bayville-based Calling Cats Rescue needs your help.

The nonprofit organization now has over 100 kittens and cats and needs a number of items to keep them going, according to the group's Facebook page.

"Monday alone brought a handful of new kitties into the rescue, bringing our total to over 100," the page states. "We are beyond full and need your support."

The rescue needs dry and wet cat food, litter, toys, liquid KMR (kitten meal replacement), small litter boxes and gift cards.

"We are 100 percent community supported and rely on your help for us to help them," the page states. "Please remember your donations are tax deductible as we are a 501c nonprofit organization. We are so very thankful for all your support and allowing us to continue to do what we do."

Donations can also be dropped off at the East Coast Spay Clinic at 918 Hazelwood Road in Toms River, or at any adoption events. Calling All Cats will be at the Howell Petco from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The rescue cannot accept any more kittens or cats until the current ones being cared for are adopted.

"The season has been tough and we are finding it hard to keep up," the page states.
