Calling all Student Filmmakers! Your Health is Worth a ‘Shot’

The Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey is collaborating
with the New Jersey Department of Health to
launch the second annual statewide video contest focused on the importance of youth vaccinations. All
Berkeley youth between the ages of 11-18 are eligible to participate.

The campaign, Protect Me With 3,
challenges NJ pre-teens and teens
to create short educational videos that motivate their peers to receive one of
three vaccines—Tdap, MCV4 or HPV. The contest is designed to promote creativity and expand
knowledge of these devastating diseases so our youth can make more educated decisions
about their personal health.

Submissions for the Protect Me With 3 video contest are being accepted now through
November 6, 2013. Each video submission must focus on one of the three diseases
and contain 3 to 5 facts provided in the Vaccine
PSA Toolkit
. The grand prize
winners in each age category will
receive a $50 gift card and a Kindle Fire (11-14) or iPad Mini (15-18).  All finalist videos and
class participation winners will
be featured prominently on the campaign website and in a statewide media
relations campaign.
