I have been so pleased by the response to this column, and one thing I have learned in recent weeks, we have a lot of people in the area who enjoy older photos.

In this page from an older atlas, the Maxson residence in Point Pleasant is featured.
An interesting facet of this photograph is that Point Pleasant is labeled as a Monmouth County town, which provides some insight into the time of the card, which our reader has labeled from the late 1800s.
