JCP&L Bringing Water, Ice For Storm Victims
Those without power or without running water can get drinking water at the recreation center, mayor says
Berkeley Township storm victims who still do not have power, and who do not have running water as a result, can get potable water at the township's recreation center on Route 9.
Mayor Carmen Amato said he asked JCP&L to bring in water supplies for those residents who still do not have power because many of them use wells to supply their homes.
"They're bringing a tractor-trailer full of water," he said.

JCP&L also will be bringing ice for those who need it later today. That will be distributed at the rec center as well.
"We're doing everything we can," Amato said.

Amato said township police officers were sent to South Seaside Park today with water and ice for residents who remain in their homes there. Police were making announcements via public address systems to let residents know the water and ice were available, he said.
The recreation center's address is 630 Atlantic City Boulevard -- which is Route 9. It is across the street from John Hill Insurance Agency, just north of Station Road.
