UPDATE: Ocean County Fair Kicks Off Today At Robert J. Miller Airpark


If you want to see what an old-fashioned country fair looks like, head on over to the  annual Ocean County Fair at the Robert J. Miller Airpark off Route 530 in Berkeley Township this week.

The fair begins Tuesday at 5 p.m. and will run through Sunday. Hours for the fair are listed below:

Tuesday - 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Wednesday - 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Thursday - 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Friday - 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Saturday - 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Sunday - 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission to the fair is $7. There is no fee for children under 10. Visitors can buy a "pay one price" $20 ticket for rides each day of the fair or purchase a "mega-pass" for $40 for the entire fair.

The event features children's games, rides, craft demonstrations, 4-H displays and demonstrations, agriculture displays and food for purchase.

Events scheduled for the first evening of the fair and their locations include:

6 p.m. - Doc Swan's Magical Comedy and Variety Show - outdoor show area.

6:15 p.m. - Circus Incredible - outdoor show area. Circus Incredible includes performers from many generations of circus families. Performers include Riett and Lyric Wallenda, from the world famous Wallenda family, and Simon Arestov, formerly of the Moscow Circus.

7 p.m. - Seeing Eye Puppy Demonstration - 4-H show tent.

7 p.m. - Mutts Gone Nuts - main stage.

7 p.m. - Therapeutic Riding Demonstration - horse show ring.

7:30 p.m. - Doc Swan's Magical Comedy Variety Show - outdoor show area.

7:45 p.m. - Circus Incredible - 7:45 p.m. - outdoor show area.

8:30 p.m. - Mutts Gone Nuts - main stage.

9 p.m. - Doc Swan's Magical Comedy and Variety Show - outdoor show area.

9:15 p. - Circus Incredible - outdoor show area.

10 a.m. - Mutts Gone Nutts - main stage.
