Prepare to have your taste buds tingling at the 22nd Annual New Jersey State Chili and Salsa Cook-off, Saturday, May 21st from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Washington Street in Toms River. Chili and salsa cooks from all over the East Coast will be cooking up a variety of fresh chilies and salsa for attendees to sample. Tasting kits are $6 in advance, $7 day of the event. The event takes place rain or shine and the winner will be awarded the New Jersey “state champion” title plus share in $5,300 in prize money in this International Chili Society (ICS) sanctioned event.
