Vinnie Van Gogh's Journey - Pit Bull Used As Bait Dog Recovering

Courtesy of the Associated Humane Societies Popcorn Park Facebook page:

Vinnie Van Gogh is marking his three month anniversary with us on Tuesday. It's been a long, tough three months for Vinnie, but what an amazing transformation he has made!

Many of you that are new to our Facebook page have asked what Vinnie's original story is.....this video will tell you a lot. The first half of the video was made a few days after Vinnie was brought in. Some of the images are graphic, but sometimes you have to see what was, to appreciate what is today.

Editor's Note: Vinnie recently underwent surgeries to replace both his hips, which were broken during his time as a bait dog. He is eight months old.

The second half of the video was Vinnie today, right before he went out for his walk. He is truly amazing. Vinnie will be going for a check up with his surgeon on Tuesday and to have his sutures removed. We are hoping that he will get clearance to finally run and play in our exercise yard.

Please keep your fingers crossed and wish him luck! You can go to our website too, to see any of Vinnie's update if you've missed them at www.ahscares.org. Thank you all again for following Vinnie on his journey. Please stay tuned for more from the Invincible Vinnie!

Anyone that thinks dog fighting is "ok" should watch this video. Same with anyone that thinks all pit bulls are horrible, killer animals. It's great that VVG is doing so well. Thank you AHS for taking care of this boy & finding him the home he deserves when recovers completely.
