Power Outage Affects Customers in Bayville and Ocean Gate

Power restored in 1.5 hours, JCP&L spokesman says

Roughly 800 customers in Bayville and Ocean Gate lost power late this afternoon after a switch on a pole failed, a Jersey Central Power & Light Co. spokesman said tonight.

The problem involved a switch on a pole, spokesman John Anderson said.

"We had some equipment that failed and had to have a crew go out," he said.
