With senior developments still struggling, the Marlboro Recreation Center is taking in those in desperate need. .

Hornik said the shelter will remain open as long as there is a need.

The shelter has been open since Saturday, and warming/comfort stations have been open since just after the storm.

Marlboro was not certified and did not have the resources to open a shelter then, just as many other towns in our area are in the same situation.

What does it take to get certified? How long does it take? Is your function that of publicist or journalist?
