Five Things Happening in Berkeley This Week

Island Beach Surf Fishing Clinic, Seeing Eye puppies and more

Wednesday - Seeing Eye puppies visit the Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library on Station Road at 7 p.m. Open to all ages.

 

Wednesday - Berkeley Township's "Sounds of Summer" continues at 6 p.m. at Veterans Park with a tribute to Rod Stewart, featuring Rick Larrimore and Theresa McClean.

Thursday - Central Regional Board of Education meeting, 7 p.m., board meeting room at Central Regional High School on Forest Hills Parkway.

Friday - Surf Fishing Clinic sponsored by the Governor's Surf Fishing Tournament Association. All fishing equipment and bait is supplied. The event is open to ages 10 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required. To pre-register, call the park at 732-793-0506.

 

Sunday - The Berkeley Township Historical Museum is open from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for tours. The museum is located in the original Town Hall at 630 Route 9 in Bayville. The museum features the private collections of area families, a circa-1900 kitchen and a special exhibit of Al Leiter baseball memorabilia. For more information, call 732-269-9572.
