Five Things Happening in Berkeley This Week

Township's "Sounds of Summer" concert series kicks off on Wednesday

 

Tuesday - "Dinner and a Movie" at the Berkeley Branch of the Ocean County Library, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event features a screening of "The King's Speech." Visitors bring supper, the library will provide dessert, coffee and tea. Sponsored by the Friends of the Berkeley Library. Register online or call the library at 732-269-2144. The library is located at 30 Station Road in Bayville.

Wednesday - The Sounds of Summer series kicks off at 6 p.m. at Veterans Park with The Infernos, Julian and Dominique and a fireworks display after the show.

Thursday - Berkeley Township Planning Board, 7:30 p.m. Town Hall, Pinewald-Keswick Road.

 

Thursday - Island Beach State Park -"Birding by Kayak."  Take a tour of the fragile Barnegat Bay estuary ecosystem. The fee is $25. The event is open to anyone 14 and up. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required. Call the park at 732-793-0506.

 

Friday - Aloha! American Girl Luau will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Berkeley Branch of the Ocean County Library on 30 Station Road. The event is open to children ages 6 to 12. Make a cool craft, have some light refreshments. Bring your favorite doll with you.
