Five Things Happening in Berkeley This Week

Check out programs at the Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library, Island Beach State Park

Monday - The Berkeley Branch of the Ocean County Library will hold its first meeting for adult writers and poets.  Register for some friendly, non-judgmental input at 732-269-2144. The group will met from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the library at 30 Station Road in Bayville.

 

Monday - The Central Regional Alumni Association will meet at 7 p.m. in the high school media center on Forest Hills Parkway.

Wednesday - The Berkeley Branch of the Ocean County Library is holding "Dinner and a Movie" night at the library at 30 Station Road in Bayville. "True Grit" is the evening's selection. Patrons may bring their own dinners and the library will provide dessert. For more information, call 732-269-2144.

Wednesday - Berkeley Township Municipal Utilities Authority meeting - 7 p.m. at the MUA office at 42 Station Road in Bayville. For more information, call 732-237-0100.

 

Friday - Park naturalists at Island Beach State Park will teach visitors the fine art of seining and discuss fish and other inhabitants of the Barnegat Bay estuary. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Naturalists will be at the fish tanks at the pavilion for Bathing Beach 1. Other sessions are slated for Saturday and Sunday at the same times.
