Edward A. Jackson, Vietnam Vet, Navy Seabee, dies at 66

AGE: 66 • Bayville
Edward A. Jackson, 66, of Bayville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was born in Baltimore, MD but resided in Ocean County, NJ most of his life. He graduated from Toms River High School in 1967. Edward proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee during the Vietnam War. For many of his adult years, he was a master carpenter for Silverton Yachts.
Edward was predeceased by his mother, Laura; brother, Raymond; and his beloved Aunt and Uncle, Ida and Herbert Peterson. He is survived by his sons, Thomas and Philip, daughter-in-law Mary; sisters, Helen and Shirley; brothers, John and George; brother-in-law, Jeff; sister-in-law, Maryann; grandson, William, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on March 1 at Faith Community Methodist Church Ed in Bayville.
