Two weeks from now, when the section champions arrive in Bayville for the state championships, they will be greeted by a host of special events and special treats.

TD Bank, the title sponsor of this year’s Joe Graziano N.J. State Little League Championship and  the N.J. State Junior League Championship tournaments, being held July 22-27 at the Berkeley Little League complex at Red Bank and Moorage avenues, has provided significant support for the event.

TD Bank, in addition to other support, will have a family photo booth available during Wednesday evening’s Midway event, which is being held on Red Bank Avenue, in front of the complex. They will be dishing out free Bella’s Italian ices for all the fans that stop by their booth.

“Saving Babe Ruth” is a fictional account of a man trying to save a town’s dying recreational baseball league, and draws on his real-life experiences in reviving a struggling baseball program that was suffering because of the rise of folks with agendas focused on self-interests.

He will be speaking to the Little Leaguers and their families who are participating in the Joe Graziano NJ State Little League Championship at the opening banquet on Tuesday, July 22. The book is currently sitting high on Amazon’s sports list and has received great reviews.

The Lakewood BlueClaws have a special night planned for the finalists of the Little League and Junior League tournaments at the BlueClaws’ game July 27. In addition to tickets for the members of the finalist teams, the players will be recognized at the game for their accomplishments. Families and friends will be able to get additional tickets with a special Little League discount. Modell’s will provide free fan shirts for the players for the occasion.

The BlueClaws’ mascot, Buster, will be appearing at the Midway on Wednesday night as well.

The entire community is getting behind the teams, celebrating what Little League means to communities all across the country and the world, as Little League marks its 75th anniversary.

Other sponsors of the championships include, Community Medical Center; Blackbeard’s Cave; the Hershey Motel of Seaside Heights; and the Seaside Heights BID. Media partners are Townsquare Media’s Shore Sports Network and the Asbury Park Press.

For 75 years, Little League has provided communities around the world the opportunity for families to connect and for children to come together in a healthy, safe environment to learn the values of team sports and the fundamentals of baseball and softball. Berkeley Little League and District 18 are proud to host this event.
