Barnegat Bay Business Forum Slated For March 28 At OCC

Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey will host a Barnegat Bay Business Forum on March 28 at Ocean County College.

The forum - which is funded through a grant from the Barnegat Bay Partnership - will connect business leaders with conservation organizations on the vital campaign to restore Barnegat Bay and the regional economy that depends on it. 

State Department of Environmental Protection Deputy Commissioner Michelle Siekerka and a range of business speakers will highlight the significant economic benefits to be derived from an ecologically restored bay and watershed.

Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ will also present the diverse ways that companies can be involved in the bay’s recovery - with options ranging from employee volunteer field days, to lunch-and-learns, to event sponsorship.

Join Wawa, Waste Management, Scotts Miracle-Gro, and many other business leaders in learning how a healthy Barnegat Bay can benefit our region and your company - both environmentally and economically!   As a Barnegat Bay Business Leader, your dedication will be spotlighted before up to 10,000 readers daily.

• Keynote: by Gerald Kauffman, author of Economic Value of the Barnegat Bay Watershed
• Morning Panel: The Need for a Healthy Barnegat Bay. This panel will highlight the economic and
ecological benefits for the region and watershed.
• Lunch Keynote Speaker: NJDEP Deputy Commissioner Michelle Siekerka
• Afternoon Panel: Business Success Stories. Corporate representatives will give real-life examples of Barnegat Bay partnerships that benefit the bay's ecology and economy.

Companies located within the Barnegat Bay watershed, or with clients and customers in that area, are encouraged to participate.
