2011 Ocean County Fair Opens At Robert J. Miller Air Park in Berkeley

Lots of events on tap for tonight

Day two of the Ocean County Fair gets underway at 5 p.m. at the Robert J. Miller Airpark on Route 530 with cooler temperatures than yesterday's torrid temperatures.

Visitors can pay a flat $20 for all the rides from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Bwana Jim and his Wildlife Show and chainsaw carver Dennis Beach will again be on hand. Part of the show goes to the dogs with the Tom River Township Police Department's K-9 Unit demonstration at 6:30 in the 4-H show tent, followed by the Puppy Power Seeing Eye Dog show.

Thunder 106 will present After the Reign, an Ocean County country band from 7 p.m to 9 p.m on the main stage.

Bounce Oo La La and Daniel will also perform at 8:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. in the 4-H show tent.

The fair runs through Sunday. Hours for Wednesday are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The fair will run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and on 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $6 for adults. Children under 10 are admitted free.
