Just try to get letter for Sandy relief

My house must be elevated due to the new Base Flood Elevations. I need a letter from the flood officer stated that I had substantial damage. The damage to my home was in excess of $80,000.00. I called and left numerous messages with the township officials and the mayors office. What I found out was that the flood officer retired and the people who are filling in never return a call. I called the mayors office. They returned my call and sent my call the flood office. Which never returned my call. I need the letter so I can get insurance money from the ICC coverage I have. Berkley township will not return a call so I call get things started. It is amazing that they say they are doing everything they can to help Sandy victims but they will not even call back about a letter I need to help raise my home. I am not asking them for money. Just a letter so I can go forward to hopefully get my house ready for NEXT summer. I have already lost this one. Just wondering what it takes to get a letter from these people.
