The weather for the next several day is perfect for the early days of autumn. Head for Island Beach State Park while it's still fairly warm or head out to Double Trouble State Park to see the cranberries ripen.

Today - Sunny with a high near 71 degrees. Winds will be from the north at 7 miles per hour, switching over to the northeast in the afternoon.

Tonight - Mostly clear, with a low near 54 degrees. Winds will be light and variable.

Thursday - Mostly sunny with a high near 70 degrees. Winds will be from the north at 6 to 8 miles per hour.

Ocean County Board of Freeholders, pre-board meeting, 4 p.m. Room 304, Ocean County Administration Building, 101 Hooper Avenue, Toms River.
