Another nice week ahead with cooler, drier temperatures. Head on out to Island Beach State Park or take a hike in Double Trouble State Park, if you're lucky enough to have the day off.

Today - Sunny, with a high near 70 degrees. Winds will be from the northwest at 7 to 10 miles per hour.

Tonight - Clear skies with a low near 51 degrees. Winds will switch to the north at 5 to 8 miles per hour.


Wednesday - Sunny with a high near 71 degrees. Winds will be from the northeast at 6 to 8 miles per hour.

Things to Do:

• New Jersey Hope and Healing Listening Station, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library, 30 Station Road, Bayville. Counselors will be on hand to help Superstorm Sandy victims with emotional support, information and referral and resources.

• County Connections Mobile Service,
10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library, 30 Station Road, Bayville. Senior services, voter registration, veterans services and more.

Berkeley officials oppose Army Corps of Engineers plan to dump Sandy dredge spoils in Berkeley Island County Park.

Bayville First Aid Squad members voice concerns over their future role in providing EMS services, after Township Council adopts ordinance that creates paid medical services where needed.
