The Morning Call For August 29, 2013

If you want to see the governor today at the Jersey Shore, you have two choices. You can head down to 9th Avenue in Bay Village in Beach Haven at 11 a.m., or go to Central and Ocean avenues in Point Pleasant Beach at 2 p.m.  It was ten months ago today that Superstorm Sandy slammed into the Jersey Shore.

Today - Partly sunny, with a high near 81 degrees. Winds will be from the east at 10 to 14 miles per hour.

Tonight - Partly cloudy with a low near 66 degrees. Winds will be from the east at 5 to 7 miles per hour, becoming calm after midnight.

Friday - Mostly sunny with a high near 80 degrees. Winds will be from the south at 5 to 9 miles per hour.

Things to Do:

• Bingo night, sponsored by the Holiday City at Berkeley Bingo Club, Clubhouse #2, Port Royal Drive. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6:30 p.m.

• TAB Presents: End of summer mermaid and mermen shindig, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Make sand art, bubble art, design your own set of mermaid fins. Ages 13 to 18. Please register online at www.theoceancountylibrary.org.
