Okay, it's Hump Day. One more day of somewhat crummy weather, then we get our reward on Thursday and Friday.

Today - The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies with a high near 83 degrees. There's a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly after 1 p.m.

Tonight - Mostly cloudy with a low near 69 degrees. Winds wil be from the east at 6 to 8 miles per hour. There's a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly between 8 p.m. and midnight.

Thursday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 84 degrees. Winds will be from the northeast at 8 miles per hour.

Things to do:

• Ocean County Board of Freeholders, 4 p.m., Ocean County Administration Building, 101 Hooper Avenue, Toms River.

• Freshman Orientation, 6:30 p.m., Central Regional High School, Forest Hills Parkway, Bayville.

What we are working on:

Berkeley Island County Park remains closed, nearly 10 months after Superstorm Sandy. We'll look at what has to be done for it to reopen.

Township Council adopts filming ordinance that forbids productions in residential zones. Too late to stop Snooki.
