The Morning Call for August 23, 2013

Expect a much nicer day today, as clouds move out and sunshine rolls in. The National Weather Service is calling for great weather over the next few days, just  in time for the weekend.

Today - Mostly sunny with a high near 84 degrees. Winds will be from the north at 9 to 13 miles per hour.

Tonight - Partly cloudy with a low near 64 degrees. Winds will be from the east at 6 to 8 miles per hour.

Saturday - Sunny with a high near 78 degrees. Winds will be from the northeast at 10 miles per hour.

Things to Do:

Hit the sands of Island Beach State Park  and avoid the weekend crowds.

• Wild Animal Scavenger Hunt - Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library, 30 Station Road, Bayville. Come in anytime today, search for items and win a small prize.

Carb load tonight for the Lacey Township 5K Race/1 Mile Fun Run, Gille Park. Registration begins at 7 a.m., race starts at 8:30 a.m. Fee is $30.
