Ms. Coulter should be denounced by the Republican Leadership and Banished from Public Speaking Forever
Why is she still allowed a platform to speak from?
Ms. Coulter is known for her outrageous and offensive comments, she has built for herself a reputation that has brought her fame, wealth, and often the anger of those she has targeted in her writings, paid appearances, and media positions, often which have resulted in her being terminated, for her comments.
Her last recent comment which has stirred up the pot as she likes to exclaim, is the remark made after the third debate between Romney & Obama. As reported by CNN.
(CNN) -- Parents of children with special needs are demanding an apology from conservative political pundit Ann Coulter for tweeting after Tuesday's foreign policy debate that she approved of "Romney's decision to be kind and gentle to the retard." It appeared to be a response to critiques of Mitt Romney's debate performance, but it wasn't the first time Coulter used the "the r-word" during this election season.
It is beyond comprehension that she has not only built a career, but has to this day a following of conservative followers who not support her, but actually believe the bigotry she espouses.
All of those who continue to support her, and allow her a pulpit to speak from, should be the first recipients of the solutions she has offered to the liberals,women,gays, democrats and other groups she has offended in this country.
My personal preference would be to allow her to join in a civil union with Reince Priebus and allow them to volunteer for guard duty at the American Consulate In Libya. Perhaps my prayer will be answered.

Give me a break. So Ms. Coulter tries her hand at humor. Her remarks are tame compared to what liberals throw at Romney or other conservatives. Bill Maher is disgusting. Or worse. Look up what liberals call African Americans call if they dare to express an independent thought! Or if they dare to support Romney. The slurs from liberals would make a drunk KKK member blush.

Mr. Meehan, as a writer I would think you would defend our first amendment freedom of speech. Oh, I forgot... that's only when it's speech you agree with. Hmmm.

Allow me to clarify, I did not say that she did not have the right to say the comments and statements attributed to her, my complaint here is that she has been provided such a wide array of platforms from which she attempts to stir the pot as she claims in her responses to the use of such language and statements.
It is up to you the reader or listener to intepert her remarks, to listen or not to, to agree with her or not to, to purchase her books or not to and you as the reader or listener the right to denounce speech which is hurtful and harmful to others.

Okay...so how are we supposed to decide if we want to listen to her, or not, if she is "Banished from Public Speaking Forever" as your headline states.
It seems to me that there are a LOT more media outlets that won't give her a platform than those that will. Just happens that the ones that do are obviously on the other side of the political fence from you.
You say that you believe that she has the right to speak her mind, but it's clear that you just don't want anyone to give her a platform to speak from. That still sounds like censorship to me.

And, one more thing (and then I'll get down from my "platform" before the word police remove me), just what did you mean by "...allow them to volunteer for guard duty at the American Consulate In Libya." Sounds like you are wishing for them to die, as did our Ambassador and security people in Libya. I guess you feel that's much more acceptable speech than using the "R-word". Look in the mirror Mr. Meehan.

This will be my final comments on this blog entry ,since my intent was never really to get into a tit-for-tat debate, with another reader.
I am a USAF Veteran of six years 1962-1968, with two years of service in Libya at the Wheelus AFB in Tripoli. If you also are a veteran, I thank you for your service.
I assure you that I would never wish for anyone to die. One but has to read my profile to understand why I would not wish that.
Given the events of the past week, perhaps we should all focus on the needs
of those affected by Sandy.
