Wanted: School Ghouls For H & M Potter's Zombie Apocalypse

School officials looking for zombies with the right stuff

Are you looking a little pale lately? Is the flesh dripping off your face? Thirsty for fresh blood and bodies?

Then H & M Potter School Principal Jeffrey S. Zito wants you.

Zito and his ghoulish administrative staff plan to hold auditions at the school on Oct. 19. They want to interview prospective zombies to see if they have the right stuff for the 2nd Annual Zombie Apocalypse at the school on Oct.26 and 27.

"They have to really get into character," Zito said. "We are looking for someone who will take this very seriously."

Zito, gym teacher Jason Miller and art teacher Joan Richie have been somewhat obsessed with the event for much of the year. Miller owns up to even thinking about it on his honeymoon this summer.

And Richie, well, she's in a class of her own. Other teachers may have been soaking up the sun or going on vacation over the summer. Richie was busy making 60 body bags for the two-day event.

Miller will be conducting the auditions.

"He's actually going to have a casting call," Zito said. "He wants legitimate zombies."

"I'll basically take anybody over the age of 16," Miller said. "It's an informal tryout. They don't have to come dressed."

Some of the zombies have already been selected. Members of the Berkeley Township Police Department and local fire companies will be doing their part, Zito said.

This will be the second year of the "Zombie Apocalypse" at H & M Potter. And it's expanding to include both floors of the school, he said.

Last year nearly all of the school's staff participated in the event. The premise was the school's drinking water had been mysteriously contaminated. Zito will be donning a Haz-Mat suit as he guides terror-stricken visitors through the halls.

The "Zombie Apocalypse" is actually a major fundraiser for the school. Zito is hoping to draw visitors from around the county for the event.

Berkeley Patch will continue to keep you updated as the invasion draws near.

??? So your not allowed to talk about God, or use Christianity for charity on school grounds. But your allowed to mimic Satan? It's a real shame that no one really reads the bible to find out what's next. I'm sure that all of you atheists will have something to say...

~ Have a nice day! ~

Great post Poindexter! That was the funniest post I've read on a long time. To think that someone actually thinks this is a promotion of Satan is hilarious. A person who would think that would seriously need to get their head checked and I'm sure you would agree. Thanks for the great laugh this morning. Looking forward to your next hilarious posting.
