UPDATE: Pinewald-Keswick Road Now Open To Traffic

Section of roadway between Double Trouble Road and Dover Road was closed much of the day due to accident when motorist swerved to avoid hitting deer, struck utility pole

Pinewald-Keswick Road is now open to regular traffic, following an early morning accident when a motorist swerved to avoid a deer and struck a utility pole in front of police headquarters.

The driver, a Bayville resident, was on his way to work at the time of the crash. He told police a deer ran out in front of his car, Detective Sgt. James J. Smith said earlier today.

The driver was not injured in the accident, he said.

Pinewald-Keswick Road between Double Trouble Road and Dover Road was closed for much of the day after the accident, which happened shortly before  5 a.m., Smith said.

The roadway was closed to traffic, with the exception of township employees coming to work, he said.

well he is on a bike, and hitting a deer may have killed him going 50 mph, sucks that he ended up hitting a pole, but at least he wasn't injured!
