South Seaside Park: White Sands Beach

South Seaside Park oceanfront beaches a quiet retreat

Tired of the honky-tonk and crowds on the boardwalk? Travel just a little more than a mile south and find some quiet on White Sands Beach in South Seaside Park.

This out-of-the way beach is actually in Berkeley Township, right near the entrance to Island Beach State Park. It runs from 20th Avenue to 23rd Avenue.

White Sands Beach will open to the public on Saturday, June 16, and will stay open through Labor Day. The lifeguard-manned beach is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Daily badges are $5. Weekend and holiday badges are $6. Weekly badges are $20. Season badges are for sale from May 29 through June 16 at a reduced price of $30. Season badges from June 16 on are $35.

Admission for children under 12 is free. New Jersey residents who are 62 and over receive free badges after proof of age and residency are furnished.
