Bayville Man Charged With Threatening Burger King Employee

Lacey Police respond to report of altercation

A Bayville resident was arrested and charged after he allegedly threatened a Lanoka Harbor Burger King employee.

Kimball Morrell, 40, was arrested after police responded to the Burger King on a report of altercation at 7:36 p.m. Oct. 8.

A Burger King employee intervened between Morrell and another individual who were arguing outside of the restaurant, police said.

As a result, Morrell allegedly threatened the employee and pulled a razor knife out, police said.

There were no injuries at the scene.

Morrell was charged with terroristic threats, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and harassment. He was sent to the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $10,000.

You mean box cutter right? It's still can be used as a weapon, but razor knife sounds more intense. It would be nice to know what the argument was about. He didn't use the "weapon", because he just wanted to scare the kid. But it he will go to jail any way to meet more criminals, instead of being put into rehab for being homeless...

From what I heard the employees of Burger King weren't innocent in this altercation.A witness told me that the employees were out of control. One of them even asking two teens sitting outside on a curb to "punch him in his face".The other apparently said,"thats right you better leave if you know whats good for you".All of this occurred BEFORE any accusations of a weapon being reportedly presented which in turn may have actually never happened.....The man was NEVER arrested and this case is pending.I would love to see some surveillance?!

There was NO box cutter! It was a cell phone! The Burger King employees were the aggressors in this situation. The employees got carried with their "authority". That Burger King is known for the bad attitude among their employees, they recently gave a women and her small child a very nasty hard time over a kids meal!!! People should investigate the part of the 2 employees!!! I personally never go there it is badly run.

There is always three sides to a story ......your side, their side, and the truth lies somewhere in between!!!! If in fact there was an obvious altercation outside please explain then why another teenager was sent out to diffuse a situation in which management should and could have called the proper authorities? Poor management in my opinion......
