Adoption Alert: Fay Returns to Shelter 3 Years Later [VIDEO]

The redhead cat was described as a lap cat, a lover, easygoing and laid back

Fay, a 3.5 year old domestic shorthair cat, was adopted from the Forked River Associated Humane Societies as a kitten and recently returned to the shelter.

The redhead originally arrived at the animal shelter with her siblings as a kitten, according to her adoptapet.com description. It was believed that her mother had been killed.

She and her sislter Alex were adopted together as kittens and both returned in September when their owner became ill and could no longer care for them.

Fay was described at the shelter as a lap cat, a lover, easygoing and laid back. She enjoys being pet and cuddled.

Fay would be good with kids and other pets as well.

She has been spayed and is up to date on her shots.

To adopt Fay, stop by Popcorn Park at 1 Humane Way to fill out an application. For more information call 609-693-1900.

I miss my cats... Sandy has separated us and I can not wait until we all have a home once again. Havering your family separated across three counties is not enjoyable in the least.

i can understand that. i watched a show last week on ch 13 called independent lens that showed what happened after hurricane katrina. 150,000 animals died and the many more were scattered to every state in the country. some owners took up to a year to locate their dogs and cats and many of them had to go to court to get them back because their new families had bonded with them and didnt want to give them back. i hope your wait isnt too much longer.

Cat Lover from Bayville
Fay is obviously very special since she is a red female cat! Most red cats are male because the red gene is sex-linked. I hope she is adopted soon. The Humane Society is a great place. I adopted my cat Alex from there in 2004 and he's the best cat in the whole world.Whoever adopts this beauty will be truly blessed!

People are pigs. Don't get a pet if you can't commit long term. I hate ignorant people like this. Hopefully this poor baby gets a forever home.

If you're so mad, why don't you take these cats in and give them their forever home?

Voice of Reason, there's nothing reasonable in what you said. You have no idea what the person's illness may be. For all we know the person may have an illness that has resulted in them being bedridden or even unaware of the world around them. You are passing judgment unfairly here. At least the owner didn't turn them loose in the street like people sometimes do.
