Another
successful beach grass planting day at Island Beach
State Park occurred on
March 24, 2012. Braving the raindrops and dark clouds, Lavallette Elementary
School Environmental Club, Sedge Island Kids (consisting of college students,
interns and former interns, Sedge Summer Field Experienced kids), Central
United Methodist Church members of Point Pleasant Beach and GSJS Girl Scout
Troop #50241 of Bayville all joined together, along with family, siblings,
friends and some who just stopped in to help plant. Their leaders filled out
survey sheets that indicated they are looking forward to returning next year.
Friends of Island
Beach will be very happy
to welcome them back to continue with the dune building efforts. Thank you so
